just 2 minutes walk from the apartment and is one of Spain's best kept
secrets. The
waterfront is virtually closed to traffic making it very safe for children,
and the attractive promenades encircling the port offer a variety of
restaurants, intimate bars and cafés in which to while away the
days. The village of Sabinillas is a 15 minute walk along the promenade. It is an authentic Spanish fishing village with a traditional selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Here you can witness the daily catch of the local fisherman as they bring their boats up the beach, or simply stroll along the pretty promenade, mingling with the locals and choosing in which restaurant to have lunch! A market is held here weekly and attracts visitors from far and wide. Sabinillas has a wonderful sandy beach which is never crowded, and affords views towards Gibraltar and on a clear day, Africa. Andalucia has the best of everything to keep the most discerning visitor happy. The natural beauty of the area is enhanced by over 300 days of sun a year as well as lush green landscapes providing an abundance of recreational activities. You also have the famous white village of Casares within 15 minutes and Puerto Banus (The playground of the rich and famous) 20 minutes away. Day trips to Morocco, Gibraltar, Jerez, Ronda and Granada are all highly recommended.
